Antibiotics save pet lives but anytime they are used, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) can develop making infections more difficult, sometimes impossible, to treat. These infections can also be passed to other pets or people in the home. Frequent or inappropriate use of antibiotics may promote the development of AMR.
