YELL’s Entrepreneurship: Empowering Youth to Take on the Future
YELL’s Entrepreneurship:12 program is a full year high school program designed for students grades 10-12. Students who complete the program will receive a grade towards high school graduation and those in good standing, will also be eligible to receive university credit from our partner post-secondary institutions.
The program begins with students learning all the core concepts of lean entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs and organizations across the country participate in the program by speaking in our classes and at our events and introduce our students to a wide variety of career options. The students will also form groups, create a business venture together and validate their concept. Along with a mentor’s guidance, the students learn to work effectively as a team and present their business venture at our year end Venture Challenge – a Dragon’s Den type of experience.
Classes from across the province come together (virtually) to compete and present their ventures to a panel of judges made up of community members, entrepreneurs and investors from around the country.
