Created by the Rideau Hall Foundation in 2018, Canadian Innovation Week is a five-day celebration recognizing and supporting ingenuity across all sectors. It’s an opportunity for organizations across the country to share stories of inspiring Canadian innovators and of innovations that are changing the world.
CIW 2021 was the most successful yet, with the Innovation Week hashtag reaching 60 Million impressions from 2400+ unique authors with over 5000 posts. We’d love it if you’d get involved in 2022!
This year’s Innovation Week will be asking Canadians why and how they innovate. To start the conversation, we will be highlighting five thematic days:
Innovate to Engage
Stories that are community driven, promote diversity and inclusion, are action-oriented and create real impact.
Innovate to Inspire
Innovators that inspire the world with their ideas and progress – especially youth innovators.
Innovate to Learn
A day to celebrate educators, education practices and resources, researchers, and those constantly discovering new ways to do things better.
Innovate to Excel
Championing excellence in innovation; innovations and innovators known around the world, those recognized by awards or prize programs.
Innovate to Compete
Showcasing Canada’s expanding innovation ecosystem and growth network. Illuminating the importance of being competitive and how Canadian companies and innovators are taking their spot on a national and global stage.
Share your incredible innovation stories on social media using the hashtag #CIW22.
