Dr. Interested

Dr. Interested is a youth led global education and advocacy organization working at the intersection of health, learning, and youth rights. Grounded in Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, particularly the right to development, we support young people around the world to access meaningful education pathways in healthcare, research, and public policy. Our work focuses on helping youth build knowledge, confidence, and agency through mentorship, interactive learning experiences, publishing platforms, and leadership opportunities that centre equity and global responsibility.

Through our international programming and youth driven policy work, we create spaces where young people do not just learn about systems but actively shape them. In Canada alone, over 4 million youth between the ages of 10 and 19 navigate education and health systems, and 44 percent do not fully understand their rights. Dr. Interested addresses this gap by translating children’s rights into real world opportunities for growth, skill building, and civic participation. By connecting education to global health priorities and policy conversations, we empower youth to discover their spark, advocate for their communities, and contribute to a more just and informed future in healthcare and beyond.
