Shad Canada
For 45 years, Shad has been a driving force in Canada’s innovation ecosystem, helping shape the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
Through its flagship month-long, pre-university summer programs, delivered in partnership with over 30 institutions across Canada, Shad offers a transformational experience for high school students. Participants engage in lectures and labs, connect with keynote speakers and Knowledge Keepers, and take on real-world, problem-based entrepreneurship challenges through hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning. Living on a post-secondary campus, students collaborate with highly motivated peers from across the country, gaining new perspectives, building confidence, and developing the leadership and mindset needed to shape what comes next.
What begins as a life-changing 27-day experience grows into something much greater. More than 25,000 alumni form a national network of innovators and changemakers, applying Shad’s values across industries and communities in Canada and beyond to create lasting impact.
